AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– Relatives of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, human rights activists, and sympathizers have staged a sit-in in Al-Khalil and asked for the release of Ala’a Hassuna whose life is in imminent danger.

Dozens of relatives took part in the sit-in staged in front of the Red Cross premises in Al-Khalil city on Monday and asked the international organization to intervene and demand the release of Hassuna.

They delivered a memo to the Red Cross officials explaining that Hassuna, who has served eight years in Israeli jails, was in a very bad health condition.

Reports by human rights organizations indicate that Hassuna’s heart muscle is working at 25% of its capacity and his life has entered the stage of “persistent danger” due to the deliberate medical neglect on the part of the Israeli prison authority.
