Israeli Electric Corporation threatens to cut off power to Palestinian villages in WB

Nazareth, (PIC)– The Israeli Electric Corporation (IEC) threatened to cut off power to Palestinian villages in the occupied West Bank due to PA’s failure to pay funds due to the provider company.

The IEC chairman, Yiftach Ron-Tal, stated: “The company will cut off electricity to Palestinian villages in the West Bank in case of the Palestinian Authority’s inability to pay money owed to the company, about 6.4 million shekels.”

He added in statements published by “Yisrael Hume” newspaper in its Thursday edition, that it is unreasonable to leave the Israeli citizens cover the PA’s debts, threatening to take different procedures including cutting off power to the Palestinian consumers, he said.
