WEST BANK, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched at dawn Friday a raid on the city of Jenin and arrested a citizen at a military checkpoint in the northern Jordan Valley.

Eyewitnesses said that IOF soldiers stormed Jenin city at dawn Friday, stationed in the Suetat neighborhood and launched combing operations until six in the morning.

IOF soldiers were also deployed in the vicinity of the Arab American University and the road to park Hadad in the town of Zabadeh in southern Jenin.

On the other hand, the occupation forces arrested Orwa Daraghmeh at the Hamra military checkpoint in the northern Jordan Valley while returning to his home in Tubas.

Meanwhile, IOF decided on Thursday to renew the detention of two citizens from the town of Silwan in occupied Jerusalem, and at the same time handed a summons to a liberated prisoner.

Local sources said that the occupation forces extended the detention of both Loay Rashaq and Amer Zeidana from the town of Silwan in occupied Jerusalem till Sunday under the pretext of throwing firebombs on Israeli soldiers last June.

The occupation raided the house of the liberated prisoner Moataz Hijazi in Thawri neighborhood in the holy city and handed him a summons.

Hijazi was released in early June last year after spending more than 11 years in occupation prisons
