#PalHunger | Waed: Red Cross’ statement regarding prisoners’ situation came late

[ PIC 17/09/2012 – 06:38 PM ]

GAZA, (PIC)– Waed Society for Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-prisoners expressed its deep concern regarding the status of hunger striking prisoners in Israeli jails; Samer al-Barq striking since 118 days, Hassan Safadi 88 days, Ayman Cherauna 78 days and Samer al-Issawi 47 days.

Waed stated that although the Red Cross’ statement came late it does not absolve the International institution of its responsibilities towards these prisoners and demanded it to put pressure on Israeli occupation authorities to end the arbitrary arrest against them, in light of the dangerous deterioration in their health situation.

It also called on the masses of Palestinian people to strongly and effectively contribute in ending the suffering of the hunger striking prisoners and support them in their battle.
