AL-KHALIL,(PIC)– Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) raided, at dawn Sunday, Fawwar refugee camp south of the city of Al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank, and arrested two liberated prisoners after searching their homes.

A number of Israeli military vehicles accompanied by Israeli intelligence officers stormed and searched, in the early hours, two houses in Fawwar camp, local sources told PIC.

IOF arrested the former prisoner Munther Abu Warda, 28, who spent 8 years in Israeli jails, and the liberated prisoner Mehdi Abu Warda, 25, and transferred them immediately to Ashkelon detention center for interrogation, the sources added.

The Israeli forces had earlier launched an arrest campaign in the camp targeting former prisoners, including the former prisoners Mahmoud Abu Warda and Mohamed Awad who are now detained in Ashkelon interrogation center for almost a month.

In the same context, Israeli patrols raided on Sunday at dawn the towns of Dahria, Halhul, and Idna in Al-Khalil, and roamed the streets and neighborhoods for hours, before withdrawing in the late morning hours.

The IOF erected a number of checkpoints on a number of Crossroads in Al-Khalil, including a military checkpoint at the crossroads of Fawwar to south of the district, and another in the area of Tarush west of Durra, where they checked the passers’ identities and searched their vehicles.
