Oct 3, 2012 Note occpal | My first reaction reading this report was nausea. For the same HRW which accuses Hamas of alleged ‘torture’ produced a report called ‘Precisely Wrong‘ , dated 2009, relating about the extrajudicial executions by Israeli drones on Gaza. Solely the drones, have cause over 825 deaths in 5 years only in Gaza by Israel’s assassination policies. (statistics as per December 2011!) In these 5 past years the assassinations without any form of justice done, without any court case nor judicial intervention in any other way cause Israel is droning people to death on nearly weekly and sometimes daily basis.
My second thought went to the children, detained by Israel. Abused, violated, 700 children have been arrested this year only since January 2000 and are structurally exposed to torture. Stone Cold Justice – Israel’s Detention & Torture of Children – policies
Human Right Watch demanding a “review of criminal justice system‘ solely seems to be producing reports without deploying those into actions nor results. While over 750.000 Palestinians since 1967 have been systematically, structurally been abused, tortured, arbitrary detained and thousands still are up to this day as we speak, people on daily basis are rounded-up for no reason at all and arbitrary detained by Israel with no consequences at all.
Last but not least: The silent genocide on Palestine by deprivation of which, even HRW neglects to report, normalizing this genocide by conforming itself, and reducing or copy cat the body count of confirmed hit-and-kills by Israel itself. Reality is far from that. Deliberate deprivation policies (as well known by HRW and other NGO’s) cause more deaths than any WMD can cause in the first place.
One gets especially appalled by below’s mission statement of HRW:
Mission Statement:
Human Rights Watch is dedicated to protecting the human rights of people around the world. We stand with victims and activists to prevent discrimination, to uphold political freedom, to protect people from inhumane conduct in wartime, and to bring offenders to justice. We investigate and expose human rights violations and hold abusers accountable. We challenge governments and those who hold power to end abusive practices and respect international human rights law. We enlist the public and the international community to support the cause of human rights for all.Source: HRW Website
- So when will HRW hold Israel accountable for it’s crimes, attacks and violations?
- When will they challenge governments who are well aware but silencing these facts?
- When will they end hunger strikes, of people fighting this battle while detained without charges, neglected in literally all human rights, even denied proper medical care?
And… So… On….
Like MSM, now HRW seems to be ‘occupied’ as well. Therefore this blog will no longer post nor link to reports from HRW since they lack three important aspects:
Every sense of Reality, Facts and Acts!
Not to forget, my last trust in HRW left – after the fundraising corruption at Human Rights Watch in 2009 – reports like these kill HRW’s credibility to the fullest.

GAZA CITY (Ma’an) — The Ministry of Interior in Gaza on Wednesday said it was reviewing a Human Rights Watch report that accused the Hamas security forces of torturing detainees.
The Hamas-run ministry says it applauds the role of human rights organizations in protecting rights. “We assure you that our detention centers are open for human rights centers,” the ministry said in a statement.
Human Rights Watch said the Interior Ministry had barred the Independent Commission for Human Rights from visiting detainees in the Internal Security detention center at al-Ansar since 2009 and in the civil al-Soraya prison since 2011.
The ministry said the report by Human Rights Watch was politically biased as it failed to address the violations of the Fatah-led Palestinian Authority in the West Bank.
“The report doesn’t talk about violations committed by the security forces in the West Bank against our people where there are hundreds of political prisoners which shows that the report is not fair and balanced and it’s merely a political one.”
In its report “Abusive System: Criminal Justice in Gaza,” Human Rights Watch documents violations by security services, including warrant-less arrests, failure to inform families promptly of detainees’ whereabouts, and subjecting detainees to torture.
The ministry said issues raised in the report were inaccurate and dated, questioning “Why are they bringing up these issues now?”
The ministry says it has 10 committees charged with monitoring the work of investigators and detention procedures. The Internal Security service is under the jurisdiction of the ministry and is subject to the same rules and laws as all security forces, it said.
Human Rights Watch said the Internal Security service in particular had been granted “absolute impunity” by Hamas authorities.
The Hamas ministry said the Gaza government took all complaints seriously and had departments dedicated to addressing grievances. “Many members of the security services were punished for violating the law, some were fired, some had their salaries reduced.”
Human Rights Watch noted in its report that Hamas officials claim to have disciplined hundreds of security service members since 2007, but urged Hamas authorities “to publish verifiable information about accountability for abuses.”
None of the officials interviewed in Gaza knew of any criminal prosecutions of Internal Security officers “despite consistent allegations of severe abuse,” the report added.
Human Rights Watch said at least three men had been executed in Gaza since 2007 on the basis of “confessions” apparently obtained under torture.
In light of the use of torture, the New York-based organization called on the Gaza government to immediately impose a moratorium on, if not abolish, the death penalty.
The ministry said that few death sentences were implemented because of a lengthy appeal process. “We would be happy if someone is proved innocent instead of convicting him.”
But regarding abolishing the death penalty, the ministry said it was “part of the Palestinian law.”

Martyred By Israeli Occupation Attacks
انّا للہ و انّا الیه راجعون
May Allah Subhana wa Ta’ ala grant the Shuhada Jannatul Firdaus, and ease it for their families, loved ones and anyone around them. Allahumma Ameen ya Rabbil Alameen. ‘ Inna Lillahi wa ‘ Inna ‘ Ilayhi Raji’un, Allahu Akbar

* The list of shuhada does not display, the numerous victims of the zionist occupation which are undocumented by media. Nor it displays the victims of the “silent onslaught” due to restrictions of movement, ability to go to hospitals for treatment or life saving surgery, due to lack of medication because of the blockades and so on. For example: The Slow Motion Genocide by the Siege on Gaza only, killed 600 patients since Gaza got under Israeli Siege.
For an overview of All Israeli Massacres Palestinians go here
Neither does this list, display the avoidable mortality. A clear and statistical factual evidence, about the number of deaths due to indecent ruling by occupation forces. For even an occupier has obligations under International Laws, Geneva Convention and the Hague regulations, which it is neglecting. These circumstances, together with deliberate policies of the occupier to neglect and even deny every basic human right, severes avoidable mortality which is totally silenced by media or reporting organisations. While in the Holocaust, 1 on 6 Jewish people directly died of deliberate neglect, so if we believe the facts over 1 million due to avoidable mortality, neither should these same circumstances be ignores which are ongoing in Palestine. For this report displays a avoidable morality of at least 0,5 million Palestinians.
How many more dead corpses of Palestinians does the international community need to see in order to act? How many more cruelties and violations of Human Rights, Regulations and International Law will be needed to intervene so this ongoing warcrime is being stopped once and for all.
