#PalHunger | IOA blocks visit by medical team to hunger strikers

RAMALLAH, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has blocked a visit by a committee of specialized foreign doctors to three Palestinian detainees who have been on hunger strike for long periods.

The Palestinian prisoner’s committee said in a statement on Saturday that the medical team asked for permission to visit the three prisoners Samer Al-Barq, Hassan Safadi, and Samer Al-Issawi, on Friday but was denied permission.

It said that Issawi, who has been on hunger strike for 65 days, was suffering serious health problems including inability to walk and was being held under bad incarceration conditions in Nafha jail.

The committee asked for a speedy solution to the condition of those prisoners, warning that the prisoners were facing slow death in captivity.
