OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– The Hebrew Maariv newspaper reported that many of the Israeli users of “iPhone 5” complained that the Maps application on Apple’s new iPhone does not list Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
The newspaper added that “iPhone 5” users discovered that Apple’s new operating system does not show Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state although every other country on the map has its capital listed.
“The maps used by Apple to be an alternative to Google Maps, distinguishes each country’s capital with a star within a circle. Jerusalem is not given such a designation and is being listed without an affiliated country”, added the paper.
It also pointed out that one other major app associated with the new system is the built-in World Clock app. Each city in the World Clock app is followed by its country; again, this is not the case when it comes to Jerusalem, which is listed as a city without an associated country.
