#VIDEO | #US likely owner of Negev downed drone

Oct 7, 2012 by

The drone the Israeli army claims to have shot down near the Mediterranean Sea was probably operated from an American aircraft carrier or American bases in Saudi Arabia, says an analyst.

The military said in a statement on Saturday that the unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle “was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force at approximately 10 a.m. (0700 GMT)”.

Israeli Soldiers are currently searching the area where the drone was downed, in open areas in the northern Negev desert, to locate and identify it, the statement added.

Press TV has conducted an interview with retired Lebanese Major General, Hisham Jaber, to further discuss the issue.
