Occupation releases Riad Nasser after two years in illegal administrative detention

RAMALLAH, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authorities released, on Sunday evening, the leader Riad Nasser from the town of Deir Qadis near Ramallah, after two years of administrative detention without charge or trial, al-Ahrar Center for Prisoners studies and Human Rights said.

The center said that the detainee Riad Nasser, eight years in Israeli jails, was arrested on 10 October 2010. His administrative detention was extended four times for six months each time without charge or trial.

The human rights center pointed out that Riad Nasser, a father of a child, was deprived during his detention from his wife’s visits.

Nearly one hundred and fifty administrative detainees are held in Megiddo and Ofer and the Negev occupation prisons, without charge or trial in total violation to the international laws and conventions especially the fourth Geneva Convention.
