CAIRO, (PIC)– The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, affiliated to the Egyptian Ministry of Al-Awqaf (Endowments), called on the Islamic nation in general and the imams and governors in particular, to bear their responsibilities before God and history and sanctities and to face the Israeli violations in al-Aqsa mosque.

The head of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Salah al-Din Abdel Halim Sultan, said in a press release that the current situation confirms the need to fight the Israeli occupation as an Islamic duty, stressing that denying this responsibility would lead to an explosion within the nation people who want to support al-Aqsa mosque and the Palestinian people.

Sultan called on the Arab League to withdraw the Arab initiative, and to bear its responsibility towards this issue, stressing the need for all official and popular institutions to address the Israeli entity, pointing out to what was announced by Sheikh of Al-Azhar that al-Aqsa Mosque is a red line, and that the nation will not stand silent for long toward the Israeli violations.
