AFEH: Repeated storming of Aqsa a prelude for dividing it

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– The Aqsa foundation for Endowment and Heritage (AFEH) has warned that the repeated Israeli storming of the Aqsa mosque was a prelude for dividing it between Muslims and Jews.

The foundation said in a press release on Tuesday that the storming of the mosque at the hands of Jewish settlers and Israeli officials was an attempt to impose a new de facto situation.

It disclosed that a number of Likud members, including parliament members, had asked in messages to Uri Ariel, the chairman of the state control committee in the Knesset, for allowing Talmudic rituals to be conducted in the Aqsa mosque.

AFEH noted that Ariel himself stormed the Aqsa mosque on Monday in the company of Israeli military officers to arrange for more “visits” for the Jewish settlers and groups to the holy Islamic site.
