OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Hundreds of extremist Jewish settlers stormed Tuesday morning Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem and attacked Palestinian natives.

According to Al-Quds media center, the settlers marched under military protection across the neighborhood behaving provocatively and harassing the Palestinian residents and passerby.

More than 250 soldiers and policemen were deployed throughout the neighborhood to protect the settlers and secure their march, the center noted.

The Jewish settlers in the occupied territories of the West Bank and Jerusalem organize weekly or monthly anti-Arab marches in Palestinian areas at the pretext of holding or performing rituals.

In another incident, a group of Jewish settlers from Gush Etzion settlement blocked on Monday evening the southern entrance of Al-Khader town, south of Bethlehem city and barred Palestinian cars from entry.

A large force of troops escorted the settlers and helped them close the entrance, according to local eyewitnesses.

A Hebrew radio station, in an attempt to justify this act of bullying, claimed the settlers closed the main road in protest at stoning an Israeli car from the settlement by Palestinians.
