BEERSHEBA, (PIC)– Hundreds of residents of occupied Negev, southern Palestinian 1948-occupied territories, performed Eid al-Adha prayers in the courtyards of occupied Beersheba’s mosque, for the first time since the occupation of Palestine; over six decades ago.
The occupation Municipality in Beersheba has turned the Mosque into a museum and a place for holding celebrations for Jews, and deprived Muslims from performing their prayers in it.
A Palestinian website reported that the Islamic movement in the Negev organized on Friday afternoon, the first day of Eid al-Adha, the Eid prayer in the yard of Beersheba, where hundreds of Palestinians from the Negev gathered and shared the joy of the Eid.
Sheikh Yusuf Abu Jama, an official in the Islamic Movement in the town of Rahat, stressed that they are determined to liberate the Grand Mosque of Beersheba from the Israeli occupation.
