#WestBankUnderAttack | Large force Israeli occupation soldiers break into Fawwar refugee camp

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– A large Israeli military force, accompanied by intelligence officers, raided Fawwar refugee camp in al-Khalil on Saturday morning, eyewitnesses reported.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) that broke into the camp from its northern area came from the Haggai settlement, which is located near Dura town.

The witnesses told PIC’s reporter that the IOF soldiers roamed the center of the camp, and were stationed at the vicinity of Fawwar’s Grand Mosque.

They pointed out that the soldiers brought with them two handcuffed and blindfolded Palestinian captives from the Ashkelon investigation center.

The soldiers searched the houses and dug up the land surrounding the Mosque without finding anything.

The IOF had arrested in the past three months more than 30 members of Hamas movement in Fawwar refugee camp.

Meanwhile, the occupation troops raided at dawn today a number of Palestinian neighborhoods in the city of al-Khalil, and carried out searches that provoked the residents. They also set up a number of checkpoints on the main crossroads, according to Palestinian sources.

The sources added that the soldiers stormed Shalala Street in downtown al-Khalil, and set up checkpoints at the northern entrance to the city of Halhoul and the entrance to the town of Dhahiriyya southern al-Khalil.

They also set up other checkpoints at the entrances to Fawwar refugee camp, to the south, the Arroub refugee camp, northern al-Khalil, the Beit Anoun neighborhood, the village of Beit Ummar and Dura town.
