NABLUS, (PIC)– Al Tadhamon Foundation for Human Rights said that the Israeli intelligence service has been recently questioning some captives who almost completed their sentences.
The Foundation reported in a press statement that the Israeli intelligence service at Salem Camp has been often interrogating the prisoners who have served long periods in custody and whose dates of release approach.
It noted that the purpose behind such procedure is to threaten the prisoners of re-arresting them if they return to any act that “affects the Israeli security”, and to tell them they are being watched by the Shin Bet.
Al Tadhamon Foundation also pointed out that the Israeli intelligence is trying to take verbal commitments from the prisoner, before his release, not to return to resisting the occupation, and that it has been summoning the leaders of various Palestinian factions to discuss political issues and intimidate them.
