RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Occupation forces declared a state of high alert in the West Bank, and on the borders with Lebanon.
The Hebrew “Yediot Ahronot” newspaper quoted sources in the Israeli army as saying that the unrest in the West Bank which has escalated, in addition to the discovery of rockets prepared to be launched in southern Lebanon, necessitated taking the decision of declaring the state of high alert.
The newspaper added that the unrest and confrontations have been increasing, pointing out that in the beginning of the events, only dozens of people had been demonstrating in solidarity with Gaza. However, now, there are thousands of protesters who organize the demonstrations in many districts and cities, even in the villages adjacent to the settlements.
The paper claimed that there are attempts to control the protests and events condemning the developments in Gaza in order to prevent things to get out of control.
