TULKAREM (Ma’an) — Israeli authorities on Friday returned the body of a man killed by Israeli security agents in the northern West Bank this week.
Construction worker Hatem Shadid, 37, was shot dead by members of the Israeli internal security service, the Shin Bet, on Monday.
His car had collided with their vehicle on a West Bank road, and Israeli officials said he attacked the agents with an axe, a charge denied by his family.
Shadid, from Illar village near Nablus, will be buried on Friday afternoon in his hometown, political party Fatah said.
