GAZA, (PIC)– Dr. Ahmed Bahar, the First Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council, stressed the need for concerted efforts to prosecute Israel’s war criminals for their crimes against the Palestinian people, praising the Egyptian and Sudanese support for the Palestinian cause.
This came during a meeting of the Legislative Council, on Sunday with a delegation of human rights activists from the international Union of Jurists, along with delegations from Egypt and Sudan, at the Council’s headquarters in Gaza.
Bahar welcomed the human rights delegation, where he briefed them on the situation of the people of the Gaza Strip after the recent Israeli aggression, and the crimes carried out by the occupation against civilians in their homes, and the bombing of infrastructure and civil institutions, stressing the need to pursue the occupation leaders as war criminals.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Union and head of the delegation, the lawyer Nissata Ceylon, said that the union composed of members from 32 countries around the world, primarily seeks to defend human rights, and shed light on human rights violations that occur in many parts of the world.
He stressed that the Union members came on this trip to the Gaza Strip to document the evidences, and to monitor violations carried out by the occupation in the recent war against the Gaza Strip, adding: “We have been following the events from abroad, and we have come to the strip to document everything and prepare a detailed report for violations and hand it to the concerned authorities.”
He expressed his hope to reinforce relationship between the Legislative Council and international human rights organizations to achieve better results for the Palestinian cause and the trial of war criminals and to restore the rights to their owners.
For his part, the MP Mohammed Faraj al-Ghoul, head of PLC legal committee, said that the Palestinian people seek justice by trying war criminals, especially that the arrogant Israeli occupation has assaulted 36 countries by targeting Mavi Marmara in the territorial waters.
The Israeli occupation represents a threat to international security, where it commits crimes in total violation to the international law, supported by the U.S. veto, he added.
At the end of the meeting, Bahar handed a shield of honor to the delegation for their efforts in supporting the Palestinian cause and monitoring the Israeli violations.
Furthermore, Bahar has received an Egyptian delegation headed by the Undersecretary for the Egyptian Youth Sports Committee, Yasser Hassanein, in the PLC headquarters in Gaza and in the presence of several deputies.
Bahar praised the Egyptian official and popular position towards the Palestinian cause and in particular President Mursi’s supportive position to the right of the Palestinian people.
For his part, the head of the Egyptian delegation Yasser Hassanein confirmed that Egypt attaches great importance to Gaza and the Palestinians, stressing that “this visit represents one ring in the communication chain which began after the Egyptian revolution and that will continue until the liberation of all Palestine and al-Aqsa mosque.”
The Palestinian Legislative Council in Gaza has also received a solidarity Sudanese delegation composed of 54 members headed by Sudanese presidential adviser Qutbi Mahdi.
Bahar welcomed the brotherly delegation from Sudan which is representative of all segments of Sudanese society, stressing that “Sudan stands with the Palestinian issue since 1948, where volunteers were arriving from Khartoum to Palestine to defend our land.”
He praised the Sudanese support for the Palestinian cause especially during Furqan war as the Sudanese doctors delegation was the first to arrive to Gaza, stressing that this visit came after the resistance victory.
Bahar considered the victory of the resistance not only for Palestine, but also for Sudan and the Arab and Islamic nation and all the free people in the world, adding that by such visits the Palestinian case began to regain its Arab and Islamic depth.
For his part, the Sudanese Presidential Advisor Dr. Mahdi, confirmed that the visit of the Sudanese delegation comes within Sudan’s policy and vision to support the Palestinian people and their cause, and to stand with the besieged Gaza Strip, expressing hope that this visit will reinforce the links with the Palestinian people and Gaza.
“Sudan was aware of the seriousness of Israel and this why we are in permanent confrontation with the Israeli entity,” he said.

Martyred By Israeli Occupation Attacks
انّا للہ و انّا الیه راجعون
May Allah Subhana wa Ta’ ala grant the Shuhada Jannatul Firdaus, and ease it for their families, loved ones and anyone around them. Allahumma Ameen ya Rabbil Alameen. ‘ Inna Lillahi wa ‘ Inna ‘ Ilayhi Raji’un, Allahu Akbar

* The list of shuhada does not display, the numerous victims of the zionist occupation which are undocumented by media. Nor it displays the victims of the “silent onslaught” due to restrictions of movement, ability to go to hospitals for treatment or life saving surgery, due to lack of medication because of the blockades and so on. For example: The Slow Motion Genocide by the Siege on Gaza only, killed 600 patients since Gaza got under Israeli Siege.

Neither does this list, display the avoidable mortality. A clear and statistical factual evidence, about the number of deaths due to indecent ruling by occupation forces. For even an occupier has obligations under International Laws, Geneva Convention and the Hague regulations, which it is neglecting. These circumstances, together with deliberate policies of the occupier to neglect and even deny every basic human right, severes avoidable mortality which is totally silenced by media or reporting organisations. While in the Holocaust, 1 on 6 Jewish people directly died of deliberate neglect, so if we believe the facts over 1 million due to avoidable mortality, neither should these same circumstances be ignores which are ongoing in Palestine. For this report displays a avoidable morality of at least 0,5 million Palestinians.
How many more dead corpses of Palestinians does the international community need to see in order to act? How many more cruelties and violations of Human Rights, Regulations and International Law will be needed to intervene so this ongoing warcrime is being stopped once and for all.
