DAMASCUS, (PIC)– Four Palestinian refugees were killed in Syria on Monday in the ongoing fighting between the Syrian regular and free armies.

The workgroup for Palestinians in Syria said in a statement on Tuesday that two were killed in shelling on the Yarmouk refugee camp’s Aish Al-Warwar area to the south of the Syrian capital.

The third succumbed to burns sustained ten days ago in shelling on Maliha area while the fourth was killed in clashes in Dariya at the outskirts of Damascus.

The group said that a number of shells slammed into Yarmouk refugee camp, which is still under tight siege for the 23rd day, adding that the bakeries have stopped working in the camp for the third day running.

It said that violent shelling targeted the Husseiniya refugee camp all night long Monday, adding that many of its suburbs suffered long hours of power outage in addition to a halt to wireless and internet services.
