DAMASCUS, (PIC)– Three Palestinians were killed in the Yarmouk refugee camp, south of Damascus, and two other areas on Tuesday at the hands of snipers.

Sources said that Motez Juara was killed while trying to protect his nephew from sniper fire in Yarmouk camp while Hassan Hamed was killed by another sniper in Barza, and Saeed Al-Ruz was also killed by a sniper at the airport road while returning to Husseiniya refugee camp.

Meanwhile, the Yarmouk refugee camp came under heavy shelling on Tuesday night as shells slammed into five different streets and Takadum neighborhood.

PIC reporter in the camp said that a woman was injured on Wednesday morning when she was trying to exit the camp while violent artillery exchanges were taking place between the Syrian regular and free armies.

The reporter pointed out that the Syrian regular army was still clamping a tight siege on Yarmouk refugee camp for the 24th day with no foodstuff, medicines, or fuel allowed access.
