AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– The Palestinian Center for Prisoners’ Studies reported that the Israeli courts refused the appeal presented by lawyer of the prisoner MP Ahmad Zarir, 51, from the town of Samu, south of al-Khalil.
The Center said in a press statement that the court decided to keep Zarir’s administrative detention for six months, where he was arrested by the IOF on November 23 following the recent aggression on Gaza, with 5 other MPs on charges of supporting the people of the Gaza Strip, where they were all turned to administrative detention without charge or trial.
The lawyer of the MP Zarir has appealed against his administrative detention, demanding his release, but the courts rejected the appeal and kept his administrative detention.
The Centre stated that the occupation had released yesterday the MP Zarir’s son Ahmed Zarir, 27, after serving six months in Israeli jails, where he was arrested at the Karama crossing during his return from Jordan.
The occupation authorities are still detaining 14 Palestinian MPs in its jails.
