OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, AL-KHALIL, (PIC) –The Israeli Prison Service administration had detained a Palestinian Jerusalemite female captive in the Israeli convicted criminals section in Hasharon prison for the past three months.
Lawyer for al-Tadhamun Foundation for Human Rights, Kifaya Masarwam quoted captive Nawal Saadi as saying that the IPS has recently transferred to their section the captive Ansar Sayad after she had been detained for a period of 3 months in the section designated for Israeli convicts.
The captive Nawal Saadi told the lawyer that the Hasharon prison administration claimed that it had mistakenly held prisoner Sayad with the convicts without knowing that she had been detained on security and not criminal grounds, according to the prison administration’s claims.
The Jerusalemite captive Ansar Sayad, 38, was arrested on the charge of trying to stab a soldier.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation authorities released the female captive Noura Jabari, 30 from the city of al-Khalil, after the court accepted the appeal submitted by her lawyer on Monday evening.
Ahrar Center for Prisoners Studies and Human Rights said in a statement that Noura had been arrested in the 9th of October 2012 and subjected to harsh interrogation, during which she had been deprived from her lawyer’s visits.
