WEST BANK, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a campaign of raids and arrests on Sunday evening and at dawn Monday in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources confirmed that the occupation vehicles have stormed the city of Nablus, where violent clashes erupted between Israeli forces and Palestinian youths, who had been throwing stones at the occupation patrols.
The sources pointed that a group of young men were detained and that the Israeli troops raided a Palestinian house and arrested one of its inhabitants, who suffers from chronic diseases, then transferred him to Hawara Camp south of Nablus.
Local sources in Jenin have also reported that the IOF has arrested at dawn Monday a young man after raiding his house in the village of Jalama east of the city, and took him to an unknown destination.
Israeli forces have intensified yesterday evening their presence in the vicinity of the Jalama military checkpoint and detained Ahmed Abu Jamhour, 18, from the city of Jenin.
According to a source in al-Khalil, three youths from the town of Beit Kahil and two others from the town of Beit Awwa have been also arrested, after the IOF raided and searched their homes
Meanwhile; Israeli soldiers stormed the camp of Arrub in al-Khalil, where they fired gas grenades towards the houses and arrested a young man.
An Israeli military force stormed the town of Azzun, near Qalqilya, at 2:00 a.m, raided houses and arrested a young man after breaking into and searching his family’s house. They also arrested another youth from his place of work in a bakery in the town. The two young men were taken to an unknown destination.
Local sources in the city of Bethlehem said that a force of the undercover units raided and searched a house belonging to Jamal Abu Jalguiv in al-Saf Street, in the city center, then arrested his son Mohammed, 22, after assaulting him and took him to an unknown destination.
Israeli troops have stormed the Aida refugee camp in the city. The soldiers roamed the alleys of the camp before their withdrawal.
