GAZA, (PIC)– Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, expressed hopes that the Arab summit scheduled to open in Doha, Qatar, by the end of the month would adopt practical resolutions in support of the Palestine cause.
Abu Zuhri told Quds Press that his movement was hinging hopes on the forthcoming Arab summit to pass resolutions protecting holy shrines in Palestine in face of Judaization attempts.
He hoped that the summiteers would pass resolutions against Jewish settlement in the occupied Palestinian land and against Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip in addition to activating and internationalizing the issue of Palestinian prisoners.
The spokesman also asked the Arab regimes to revise the Palestinian official representation at the Arab League in light of the continued division, adding that one of the parties was exploiting the division to impose itself as the sole representative of the Palestinian people while the other party was the winner in the legislative elections and was still enjoying that legitimacy.
