HEBRON (Ma’an) – A military wing affiliated to Fatah in Hebron in the southern West Bank on Thursday threatened to retaliate to the death of Palestinian prisoner Maysara Abu Hamdiyeh in Israeli custody.

A representative of the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades in Hebron said during Abu Hamdiyeh’s funeral that “the group will not wait until a third prisoner falls a martyr, after Arafat Jaradat and Abu Hamdiyeh.”

He added that the al-Aqsa Brigades would not remain quiet while the Israeli government continues to “execute” Palestinian prisoners in its jails.

“The blood of the founder of al-Aqsa Brigades in Hebron Abu Hamdiyeh will not go in vain and we will bring double retaliation,” the official added.
