RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Confrontation were reported in two villages in Ramallah and Jerusalem on Tuesday after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) fired teargas canisters and stun grenades at civilians.
Local sources said that IOF soldiers fired teargas at university students in Abu Dis, east of occupied Jerusalem, for celebrating the 25th anniversary of the martyrdom of Khalil Al-Wazir, a Fatah leader.
They said that 12 students were hurt in the attack on the Quds University students in front of their university.
Local sources in Ramallah said that IOF soldiers fired tear gas and stun grenades at citizens in Badurs village and a number of villagers were treated for breathing problems.
They said that the soldiers quelled a march that was organized to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the martyrdom of one of the young men in the village at the hands of those soldiers.
The sources noted that the village has been witnessing semi-daily clashes with the soldiers ever since the child, Samir Awad, was killed at the hands of IOF soldiers in mid January while on his way back home from school.
