Captive Ayman Abu Daoud’s wife appeals for saving her husband’s life

NABLUS, (PIC)– The wife of hunger striking prisoner Ayman Abu Daoud, held in solitary confinement in Al-Jalameh interrogation center, appealed to the Palestinian leadership and factions to intervene and get her husband released.

She denounced through Ahrar center for Prisoners Studies and Human Rights the silence and inaction of the Palestinian public and leaders regarding her husband’s case and called for supporting him in his hunger strike launched 12 days ago.

Ayman is a liberated prisoner released under prisoners’ exchange deal after serving seven years of his 30-year sentence. He was re-arrested on February 13, 2012 only a few months after his release.

Fuad Al-Khuffash, Ahrar center’s director, expressed concern that the occupation authorities were determined to force Ayman to complete his sentence, according to the law issued against the ex-prisoners liberated under the exchange deal.

Al-Khuffash noted that the occupation has transferred Ayman to solitary confinement in order to pressure him to end his hunger strike, and called for an immediate intervention to save him.
