Fuad Al-Khafsh, the director of the center, said that three of those academicians were already serving administrative detention terms, without trial or charge, while two others are in custody and are expected to face the same fate.

He said that ethical and professional duties make it imperative on the AI to urgently intervene and adopt the issue of those lecturers who carry different scientific certificates.

Ahrar delivered detailed files of those five lecturers to the international organization including each one’s scientific degree and his academic history along with a briefing on his suffering in administrative detention and his diseases.

Ahrar urged AI to assume its humanitarian responsibilities toward those lecturers, who are targeted with no justification and without any consideration to their academic and scientific status in the society.
