HEBRON (Ma’an) — Israeli forces on Wednesday briefly detained 27 students from al-Tuwani high school east of Yatta, south Hebron, an activist said.
Popular committee member Rateb al-Jbour told Ma’an that Israeli troops seized 27 students while they were heading home from school.
He added that the parents called the Palestinian Liaison Office which intervened and secured their release after three hours.
Al-Jbour called on the international community to protect the right to education in Palestine.
An Israeli army spokesman said he was looking into the report.
