Illegal Israeli colonists ‘close entrance’ to Beit Ummar

HEBRON (Ma’an) — Dozens of Israeli settlers, accompanied by Israeli soldiers, on Friday closed an entrance to the southern West Bank town of Beit Ummar, a local official said.

Popular committee spokesman Mohammad Ayyad said settlers gathered at the entrance to the town, near the al-Qarn area, preventing Palestinians from passing.

Ayyad said soldiers informed residents that the settlers were protesting because Palestinians from Beit Ummar throw rocks at their cars.
