GAZA, (PIC)– The Hamas Movement strongly denounced the kidnapping of Jerusalemite lawmaker Mohamed Abu Teir and described it as a new Israeli crime against the representatives of the Palestinian people.
In a press release, Hamas considered Israel’s persistence in kidnapping Palestinian MPs a flagrant violation of international norms and laws, stressing that this Israeli policy is in vain and will not succeed in suppressing the lawmakers and dissuading them from exercising their role in defending the Palestinian people’s rights and constants.
It also condemned the international silence on Israel’s violations against the Palestinian lawmakers and called on human rights groups to actively move to pressure the Israeli regime to immediately release all lawmakers and ministers in its jails.
The Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday kidnapped MP Mohammed Abu Tir from his house in Okub village in Ramallah
Abu Teir was exiled from occupied Jerusalem to Ramallah city two years ago at the pretext of his affiliation with Hamas.
