RAMALLAH, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authorities held Sheikh Falah Nada, a Hamas leader, in administrative detention on Tuesday one day after his arrest from his village Qarawat Bani Hassan to the west of Ramallah.

Ahmed Al-Beitawi, a researcher with the Tadamun foundation for human rights, said that Nada, 54, was released from IOA jails on 4/12/2012 after 24 months of administrative detention.

He said that Nada, who served more than 13 years in Israeli jails, was on the run during the Aqsa intifada for seven years during which he survived an assassination attempt on charges of affiliation with the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas.
