RAMALLAH,(PIC)– Israeli authorities have extended the detention of a Palestinian from Gaza who was kidnapped a month ago in Sinai by the Israeli Mossad, human rights sources said.
Tadamun Foundation for human rights revealed that Magistrate’s Court extended the detention of Wael Hassan Abu Rida for 8 additional days pending investigation for security reasons.
The Israeli Mossad abducted Palestinian citizen Wael Hassan Abu Rida, 32, from Khan Younis refugee camp while he was in Egypt with his son who receives medical treatment there. The source said that Abu Rida was taken to an Israeli detention center following his abduction from Egypt.
Meanwhile, the foundation stated that the occupation authorities released the Palestinian prisoners Mohammed Amin Nazzal, from Qalqilya, after spending a whole year in Israeli jails.
Mohammed Amin Nazzal, 52, was arrested in 2012 after raiding his house for being affiliated to Hamas movement.
The foundation pointed out that Nazzal was arrested several times where he served more than 7 years in administrative detention.
