Muhammad Zaki, Aljazeera cameraman who was wounded during coverage of Rabia al-Adaweyya events
GAZA, (PIC)– The Palestinian Media Forum has condemned the killing of seven journalists during the suppression of peaceful sit-ins in support of the Egyptian elected President Mohamed Morsi.
The forum stated that seven Journalists were killed, and dozens were injured and arrested when the Egyptian army opened fire randomly against supporters of legitimacy.
The forum pointed out that a number of Journalists were injured during covering the recent events in Egypt including al-Jazeera network cameraman Mohammed Zaki, in addition to a number of detainees including Al-Jazeera correspondent Abdallah al-Shami.
The Egyptian security forces also stormed Al-Quds channel office in Cairo where they arrested one of its employees and confiscated its equipments.
The media Forum called for an investigation into targeting and killing journalists and to prosecute those responsible of this crime.
