GAZA, (PIC)– A Palestinian security official in Gaza confirmed that the security services have made good progress in their fight against collaboration in the Strip, especially after the recent aggression on Gaza last November.

Major General Salah al-Din Abu Sharekh, Director General of the Internal Security Forces in Gaza, said during a meeting organized by the Information Office of the Ministry of Interior and National Security with journalists on Tuesday: “there is an improvement and development in the performance and tools at our disposal to reach the spies.”

He stressed that the collaboration with the occupation “is very limited among the Palestinian people, and did not develop into a phenomenon as some try to portray”. “We do not limit ourselves to security work, but we carried out educational awareness and media campaigns in schools to prevent this scourge.”

Abu Sharekh added that “the occupation spares no effort in using all means to recruit spies, and we are still in a long conflict with the occupation in this file.”
