VIDEO | Mossad may have been involved in 2012 cyber attack on Elysee Palace

A new report suggests the Israeli spy agency was behind an attempt to hack into the former French president’s communication network back in 2012.

The French daily Le Monde has cited a leaked US intelligence document for Mossad’s possible involvement in last year’s cyber attack on the Elysee Palace. The report says the US National Security Agency has denied being involved, hinting instead that Mossad was responsible. The report says the document was prepared earlier this year to brief NSA officials who were set to meet with French intelligence figures. The attempted breach took place in the final weeks of Nicolas Sarkozy’s term as president. The leak comes amid a flurry of allegations that US intelligence spied on governments and people of different countries.
