RAFAH, (PIC)– The Egyptian authorities kept the Rafah border crossing with Gaza Strip closed on Monday for the third day running causing more suffering for its inhabitants.
The department for crossings and borders said on Friday night that the Egyptian authorities had informed it of the intention to close the terminal for an indefinite period.
Maher Abu Sabha, the director of the department, earlier said that the crossing had worked for five hours per day after the Eidul Adha holiday enabling three thousand Palestinians to cross in both directions.
He added that meetings with the Egyptian officials at the crossing resulted in improving work procedures and increasing the number of passengers.
