RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Ahrar Center for Studies of Prisoners and Human Rights said in its monthly report that 325 Palestinians were arrested and 4 others were killed in the West Bank and the 1948 territories by Israeli soldiers during October 2013.
The center said that the largest number of arrests took place in al-Khalil where the occupation forces arrested 90 Palestinians, while they arrested 43 citizens in Nablus and 40 others in Jerusalem. Other arrests took place in other West Bank cities and in the 1948 occupied territories.
The human rights center added that among the detainees there are 17 children under the age of fifteen from different areas in the West Bank, and two women from Tulkarem and al-Khalil.
It also reported that the occupation arrested 3 journalists in October, including journalist Mahmoud Shanti who works for the Chinese news agency Xinhua.
Director of Ahrar center Fouad Khuffash said that the occupation troops also arrested last month in the West Bank a number of leaders of the Palestinian factions and the two MPs Nazzal Ramadan and Mohamed Badr.
