AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– Israeli prison guards stormed the Negev jail on Sunday and quelled and harassed Palestinian administrative detainees for persisting in their protest against their detention without trial or charge.
Fuad Al-Khafsh, the director of Ahrar center for prisoners’ studies, said that the Israeli prison guards assaulted detained Hamas leaders Rafat Nasif and MP Abdulkhaleq Al-Natshe.
He said that the prison administration transferred the two Hamas leaders along with nine other administrative detainees to an unknown location in an attempt to force them to end their protests.
Special sources told the PIC that special units broke into the administrative prisoners’ rooms at dawn and searched their belongings, adding that physical assaults were reported during the raid.
Administrative detainees have started a few days ago a strike against their detention and successive renewal of their administrative custody at courts and started the protest steps with boycotting courts.
