GAZA, (PIC)– MP Jamal al-Khudari, the head of the Popular Committee against the Siege, stated that the serious implications of Gaza siege have noticeably increased, stressing the need for an international intervention to lift the siege.

He warned of a real humanitarian disaster due to the acute shortage in the main basic humanitarian needs in the strip especially after the high poverty and unemployment rates in the besieged strip.

He pointed out that several factories have been closed in the strip due the Israeli ban on raw and construction materials.

Al-Khudari stressed the need for an Arab and international firm position towards the Israeli siege that violates all humanitarian and international conventions mainly the Fourth Geneva Convention.

The MP called on all concerned parties to work for finding a solution to the power crisis in the strip, warning of its serious implications on all vital sectors.
