AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– Palestinian captive Akram al-Fsissi, from Ethna village west of al-Khalil, has continued his hunger strike for 36 days in a row protesting his administrative detention.

Al-Fsissi, 30, began his strike since 29 September while he was in Ofer prison. He was then transferred to Ramle prison in October where he has continued his strike protesting his administrative detention, knowing that he is a liberated prisoner.

He was detained mid-November 2012 and was turned to administrative detention. He has been previously jailed for more than a year and a half.

Meanwhile, Palestinian prisoners in section 1 in Gilboa prison have been subjected to violent search and suppression operations last Thursday, where they were transferred from one section to another, Ahrar Center for Prisoners’ Studies said.

The prisoners confirmed that a large number of Israeli officers and soldiers and special units stormed section 1 and asked the prisoners to move to the adjacent section after being semi-strip searched.
