RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested at dawn on Monday eight Palestinians, including two minors, following a raid campaign of a large number of houses in different parts of West Bank.
Local sources stated that Israeli forces arrested at early hours of this morning two youths at Hawara checkpoint south of Nablus while 15 military vehicles raided Jenin city and launched an arrest campaign.
The sources said that the IOF arrested Ali Ershaid, 26, after raiding his house in Abu Dahir neighborhood, in addition to storming a number of houses in Jenin where they summoned Mahmoud Jihad Gesnawi, 26, for interrogation.
The occupation forces roamed throughout Jenin villages and violently stormed into the residents’ houses, where a number of temporary checkpoints were erected.
In Bethlehem, Israeli forces arrested three Palestinians including two minors, after raiding their houses in the city.
Occupation forces arrested Sunday a Palestinian youth while passing through a military barrier near the Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil claiming a knife in his possession to use it in stabbing a soldier.
The Israeli occupation forces also arrested Noor NimerAbu Sneineh after raiding a number of houses in the old town.
In a related context, military checkpoints were erected in al-Khalil where Israeli forces stormed the city and searched Palestinian vehicles.
Local sources confirmed that the occupation forces arrested Ammar Taher Amarna, 25, while passing through a military checkpoint where they interrogated him before taking him to an unknown destination.
Meanwhile, Hamas movement has issued a report documenting Israeli arrests during the last week. The report confirmed that 93 Palestinians were arrested last week in West Bank cities and towns including 34 detainees from the southern West Bank while 18 detainees from Jerusalem.
The report pointed out that a Palestinian female students and a former political detainee were among the detainees.
