Muslim scholars call on the Arab and Islamic nations to support the Aqsa Mosque

AMMAN, (PIC)– The International Union for Muslim Scholars called on all Islamic countries and scholars to organize events on Friday in support of Jerusalem, and to exert all efforts to protect the city from the Israeli occupation plans.

It said in a statement that the Israeli occupation violations and attempts to Judaize the city of Jerusalem and divide the Aqsa mosque represent violation of all international norms and conventions and the resolutions of the United Nations and the UNESCO, on the protection of holy sites.

The Union called on all the Palestinians and Jerusalemites to intensify their presence in the Aqsa Mosque to protect it from the occupation authorities’ plans and the extremist Jewish groups that are working on dividing or demolishing it, in order to build the alleged temple on its ruins.

It held the Islamic world – rulers and peoples – the responsible towards protecting Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa, and all the Islamic sanctities.

The International Union for Muslim Scholars appealed to King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, King of Morocco Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Jerusalem Committee, and King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Abdullah II to use all possible means to stop the danger that threatens the Aqsa Mosque.

It also called on the international organizations for human rights to support the Jerusalemites in defending the Mosque and protect it from the plots of the occupation authorities and the Jewish extremist groups.

The Union appealed to all the Palestinian people and factions to unite their ranks and overcome their differences; in order to protect Palestine and its holy sites.

It also asked all conscientious people in the world to work on supporting the Palestinian cause and lift the unjust siege imposed on the people of Gaza, by opening the crossings and facilitating the entry of supplies and goods to the Strip.

Why Orthodox Jews are opposed to a zionist state

True Torah Jews opposed Zionism for more than 130 years.

Neturei-Karta is the Aramaic term for “Guardians of the City. The name Neturei-Karta originates from an incident in which R. Yehudah Ha-Nassi (Rabbi Judah the Prince) sent R. Hiyya and R. Ashi on a pastoral tour of inspection. In one town they asked to see the “guardians of the city” and the city guard was paraded before them.

They said that these were not the guardians of the city but its destroyers, which prompted the citizens to ask who, then, could be considered the guardians. The rabbis answered, “The scribes and the scholars,” referring them to Tehillim (Psalms) Chap. 127. (Jerusalem Talmud, Tractate Hagiga. 76c).

The name was given to a group of Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem who refused (and still refuse) to recognize the existence or authority of the so-called “State of Israel” and made (and still make) a point of publicly demonstrating their position, the position of the Torah and authentic unadulterated Judaism.
