JERUSALEM (Ma’an) — An Israeli military court in Ofer prison on Monday sentenced Palestinian lawmaker from Jerusalem Ahmad Attoun to 20 months in prison.
Attoun’s family said he was arrested from his Ramallah home in February 2012, and was put under administrative detention.
He was sentenced Monday to 20 months in prison and handed an 18-month suspended sentence.
Attoun, originally a Jerusalem resident before he was stripped out of his ID after being elected to the Palestinian parliament, has spent 15 years in Israeli jails in intermittent sentences.
