Israel has fired a number of artillery shells into southern Lebanon after two rockets from the area hit northern Israel on Monday.
About 20 Israeli shells have landed in Lebanon’s Wadi al-Litani region. Reports say after rockets were fired from the al-Jarmaq region, sirens wailed across northern Israel. BUT there have been no reports of casualties. This is not the first time that projectiles launched from Lebanese territory have landed in Israel. Since the beginning of the war on Gaza, there have been several similar incidents. On Saturday, a rocket fired from Lebanese territory hit northern Israel, injuring two children. In response, Israel fired artillery shells into southern Lebanon.
