Abu Obaida: Palestinian resistance excelled in its defense of Gaza

GAZA, (PIC)– The Palestinian resistance and people have crushed the Israeli occupation army’s image and achieved in 50 days what big armies in the region couldn’t achieve for years.

Al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson, Abu Obaida, said in an address delivered in the “Victory Conference” on Wednesday evening, “The resistance forced the ceasefire out of its enemy and did not allow them any strategic or tactical achievements. It crushed its pride that has been fabricated for decades through media outlets, and laboratories of psychological warfare.”

“Our resistance has won because it struck a blow at Israel’s history…. Gaza showed who Israel and its security and military leaders and really are, a gang of criminals and murderers targeting innocent civilians and taking revenge of children and women… Here is the world catching sight today of who Israelis are and how do their deeds and atrocities look like,” he said.

“Victory is not exclusive to our resistance fighters, it is the victory of every mother who breastfed her babies the true meaning of manhood, chivalry and sacrifice; it is the victory of every sister, every daughter, and every wife who saw her own son, brother, husband, or father undertake the battle against the Israeli colonizer, knowing deep inside that he might not perhaps come back home.”

He also stressed that this was not a “victory speech,” adding: “Our appointment with the victory speech will be in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque (in Jerusalem). This is merely an inevitable step along the way.”

“This is the victory of all the children, all the old people, all the women, on whom the enemy has rained huge numbers of bombs and whose homes it turned into rubble,” the statement added.

‘Take as many children, shed as much blood, destroy as many homes as you possibly can,” Gaza children said as they were recovered from beneath the mounds of pile, Abu Ubaida stated.

“The fact that thousands of our offspring, nationally and overseas, took to the streets is the most authentic translation of our people’s awareness of the true value of such a victory. . . . The Palestinian resistance strived to inculcate in Palestinians’ minds that we’ve never been weak and that victory is coming out soon. The liberation of al-Aqsa and our refugees’ return back home have drawn nearer.”

“Our enemy, along with its armies and elite forces, is a big lie,” he said.

“Our people endured for so long the meaning of being orphans and persecution. Today, from Gaza’s triumphant soil, the entire world can see that we are no longer orphans. The orphans have grown up and their resistance knack has grown stronger. They will fight whoever dares to persecute or oppress them.”

“We are here today to commemorate the great Palestinian unity…. The division chapter is over. Resistance has unified us all, once and for all.”

“Everybody has to step forward and take up his/her responsibilities regarding the great Palestinian people so as to alleviate their pains and heal their wounds,” Abu Obaida declared.

He called for a comprehensive revision of the strategies of national struggle, adding: “There needs to be serious and urgent efforts to reformulate and restructure our national institutions in the best way possible so as to be able to stand in for such a legendary nation and carry the voice of Palestinians everywhere.”

According to al-Qassam spokesperson negotiations are not enough with the invaders, who only got the drift by means of the sword, never the word.

“Gaza has triumphed because it foiled the Israeli goal to isolate the resistance, abate its strength, and sever its ties,” he said.

“Gaza has triumphed because it toppled the national security strategy and the tactics of the Israeli war, overthrowing them once and for all. It crushed the myth of the invincible army and turned it into the world’s “laughing stock” by tackling it head on despite the material discrepancies.”

In Abu Obaida’s view, Gaza has triumphed because it restored the hope of a billion and a half Arabs and Muslims, assuring them that the journey to Jerusalem is going to be smooth and open if they are equipped with goodwill, energy, and enough ordnance.

“No voice shall have sovereignty over the voice of the Palestinian resistance. No force succeeded in uniting the people as our resistance did. No option has proven as efficient as our resistance’s.”

“We dedicate the steadfastness and victory of our people to our martyrs…. These are the ones who made this victory come true.”

“To the prisoners…. You are the nation’s icons and epitomes of its agony and hope. . . Your cause is present everywhere and every time; in times of war and peace. Your sacrifices and achievements are present at every victory and success. . . . You’ll forever remain in the frontlines of our priorities. We will never forget you, God willing.”

“To all Muslims, Arabs and world’s free people, thank you for standing by your Gazan brothers and sisters and with your resistance. We are you defenders. Allah has chosen us to stand firm in the face of our biggest enemy.”

“We first and foremost Thank Allah for his grace and gratitude, for making us so strong and granting us such a landslide victory,” the speech concluded.

Is Resisting Genocide a Human Right?

Right to Resist

81 Notre Dame Law Review1275 (2006). Conducting an in-depth study of the genocide in Darfur, Sudan, and also discussing other genocides, this article details the inadequacy of many of the international community’s response to genocides, such as “targeted sanctions” or international peacekeeping forces. Examining international legal authorities such as the Genocide Convention, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the International Court of Justice, the article demonstrates that groups which are being subjected to genocide have a legal right of self-defense. International treaties, Security Council arms embargoes, or national gun control laws cannot lawfully be enforced in a manner which prevents self-defense resistance to a genocide in progress, because under international law, the prohibition against any form of complicity in genocide takes legal precedence over lesser laws.

Genocide in Photos

Since 1937 (Pre)Israel terrorism commits ongoing massacres in Palestine. Violent genocide, but the least known, silent genocide causing excess death by deliberate racist policies of deprivation. The same deprivation which according the Israeli narrative have cost 1/6 of Jewish Holocaust victims (1 of 6 million). The cost in human lives by avoidable mortality for the sake of the creation of Israel according to research (by Dr. Gideon Polya) in Palestine and neighboring countries is 24 million lives.
