Haneyya: Egypt should urge Israel to abide by ceasefire agreement

GAZA, (PIC)– Ismail Haneyya, Deputy Head of Hamas political bureau, urged the Egyptian intelligence to pressure the Israeli occupation to observe the terms of the ceasefire agreement brokered by Egypt a few days ago.

Haneyya drew attention, in a telephone call with the Egyptian intelligence, to Egypt’s need to keep track of a set of substantial issues to be negotiated with the Israeli occupation, calling for an immediate launch of the Gaza reconstruction projects.

Haneyya acclaimed Egypt’s role in reaching a ceasefire deal and its ongoing efforts towards the Palestinian cause.

The Egyptian intelligence said serious attempts have been underway in the wake of the agreement so as to work out all other unsettled affairs.

Along the same line, Hamas spokesperson Sami Abu Zuhri said on Sunday: “The ceasefire agreement is not supposed to end at the end of the one-month period. Instead, the ceasefire talks are supposed to resume by the end of this month, with truce talks continuing beyond this period.”

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Palestinian People’s Party and member of the truce delegation, Bassam al-Salhi, said up to now there have been no updates on the date scheduled for the resumption of the Cairo talks.

“Talk clashes” are expected to flare up, as the issues to be laid on the negotiation table are very much complicated, Salhi declared.

He said whereas Israel’s topmost priority lies in the return of its soldiers’ bodies, the Palestinian negotiator is rather keen on prisoner swaps along with the lifting of the Gaza siege unconditionally, re-establishing Gaza airport and seaport, and allowing a swift entry of the reconstruction materials into the besieged enclave.

Note occpal

Israel breaks every ceasefire. While media is counting the ‘rockets’ from Gaza, structural ceasefire violations by Israel are seldom covered by main stream media at all. Not even after Israel admits to have done so to continue it’s ongoing genocide:

All Israeli ceasefire violations of Egypt brokered truces documented one by one:

Is Resisting Genocide a Human Right?

Right to Resist

81 Notre Dame Law Review1275 (2006). Conducting an in-depth study of the genocide in Darfur, Sudan, and also discussing other genocides, this article details the inadequacy of many of the international community’s response to genocides, such as “targeted sanctions” or international peacekeeping forces. Examining international legal authorities such as the Genocide Convention, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the International Court of Justice, the article demonstrates that groups which are being subjected to genocide have a legal right of self-defense. International treaties, Security Council arms embargoes, or national gun control laws cannot lawfully be enforced in a manner which prevents self-defense resistance to a genocide in progress, because under international law, the prohibition against any form of complicity in genocide takes legal precedence over lesser laws.

Genocide in Photos

Since 1937 (Pre)Israel terrorism commits ongoing massacres in Palestine. Violent genocide, but the least known, silent genocide causing excess death by deliberate racist policies of deprivation. The same deprivation which according the Israeli narrative have cost 1/6 of Jewish Holocaust victims (1 of 6 million). The cost in human lives by avoidable mortality for the sake of the creation of Israel according to research (by Dr. Gideon Polya) in Palestine and neighboring countries is 24 million lives.
