JENIN, (PIC)– Israeli occupation authorities have extended the administrative detention of Hana’ al-Shalabi (28 years), from Jenin for another three months for the sixth consecutive time.

Sources close to the family of Shalabi told PIC that the Sharon prison administration handed their daughter an order extending her administrative detention just three days before the previous one expired.

IOF troops arrested Shalabi on 14 September 2009 accused of being affiliated with the Islamic Jihad. She was placed in administrative detention without charge or trial for six months. This was automatically renewed without any legal of logical explanation. She was denied visits by her family for a long time.

Shalabi is from the village of Burqin, west of Jenin. Her sister was arrested during the first intifada after stabbing an occupation soldier. She is also the sister of Samer Shalabi who was killed by the IOF during an armed clash in 2005. The rest of her brothers were detained a number of times by the occupation.
