OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Jerusalemite citizens participated on Thursday in a sit-in in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails, after the Asr prayer inside the al-Aqsa mosque, despite the cold and snow waves in all Palestinian towns and villages.

The participants held pictures of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails as well as the prisoners on hunger strike, and banners reading slogans in solidarity with the prisoners, stressing on the prisoners’ right to achieve all their demands.

“We stand today in the yards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, in this blessed place, which represents an important part of Muslims’ faith, and despite this cold weather, to send a message to the whole world that we will not leave our prisoners alone in this confrontation,” one of the participants said.

He added that the prisoners defend not only the Palestinian dignity by the whole nation’s dignity, wishing that they will meet them soon in al-Aqsa mosque.
